The interior ventilation filter, also known as the cabin air filter, cleans the air entering the passenger compartment, and the procedure for replacing it varies slightly by model year. First, disengage the glove box and allow it to drop down. For models from 2001 to 2006, rotate the locking knob on the filter cover counterclockwise, remove the cover, and pull out the cabin air filter. For models from 2006.5 and later, pinch the release tabs or locking clips to pull out the cabin air filter. Installation is the reverse of removal.
