The door and trunk locks should be lubricated with spray-on graphite lubricant.

To replace the trunk lid latch, open the trunk and mark a line around the latch assembly for reference. Look upward through the trunk lid access hole to detach the rod from the lock cylinder by removing the rod retaining clip, then separate the rod. Remove the bolts that hold the trunk lid latch in place, and installation follows the reverse order of removal.
