Before lifting the car, loosen wheel nuts, place the car up on jackstands, take off the front wheels, and block the rear wheels with the parking brake. Put the handbrake and tire stops on before taking out the front wheels. To take out the control arm, start by removing the bolts connecting the balljoint to steering knuckle, then unscrew the control arm mounting bolts. Check if the control arm is bent and examine the bushings to gauge their condition; put in fresh parts as required; straightening bent pieces is not possible or appropriate. To replace the front bushing safely, bring your control arm to an automotive machine shop and have them rebuild the bushing. To replace the rear bushing, start by taking out its nut and washer, then ease off the worn-out bushing. Put the new one right into place. Check with your mechanic before starting work to make sure they have new bushings ready. Simply repeat the steps of removal in reverse order, then tighten all screws to the required torque values. Reinstall the wheel, tighten the lug nuts by hand, put the car back down, and finally tighten the lug nuts to the exact torque required. Checking and fixing your front wheel alignment is a good choice.
