To check the suspension, push down on the vehicle at each corner. If it doesn't return to level within one or two bounces, the shocks or struts are likely worn and need replacement. Listen for noises during this process.

To reassemble, wrap the splines on the inner end of the axleshaft with tape to protect the boots, slide the clamps and boot(s) onto the axleshaft, apply grease to the tripod assembly and housing, and insert the tripod into the housing, packing grease around it. Ensure the boot is seated properly, adjust the driveaxle length, equalize the pressure in the boot, and secure the boot clamps before installing the driveaxle assembly.
