Kia 9760638002 Condenser Assembly

On early models, the receiver/drier should be replaced whenever the condenser is replaced. On later models, it is a component of the condenser assembly. First, have the refrigerant discharged by an air conditioning technician. Then, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. On 2006.5 and later models, remove the air intake duct. Next, remove the upper radiator brackets. Pull the radiator rearward for access to the condenser. Disconnect the inlet and outlet fittings. Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture and dirt out of the system. Remove the mounting fasteners. Push the radiator back toward the engine, then push the condenser rearward until it's free of the radiator support and can be pulled up and out of the vehicle. Install the condenser, brackets and bolts, making sure the rubber cushions fit on the mounting points properly. Reconnect the refrigerant lines, using new 0-rings. Reinstall the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal. Finally, have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.
