Detach the brake hose from the strut's brake hose bracket, and for models equipped with ABS, remove the ABS harness from its bracket.

For reassembly, extend the damper rod to its full length and install the rubber bump stop and dust cover. Place the compressed coil spring onto the lower seat of the damper, ensuring the end rests against the raised stop, then install the upper insulator and spring seat. Finally, install the upper mount and mounting nut, tightening it to the specified torque before removing the spring compressor tool and installing the strut/spring assembly.
