FOUR-CYLINDER MODELS, Unscrew the negative battery terminal wire. Take off the bolts attaching the manifold support bracket to the upper part. For 1998 and newer models, detach this top end of the intake manifold support bracket from the intake manifold by removing these two screws. On 1994 through 1997 models, this bracket is bolted to the intake manifold by a single bolt. Lift up your vehicle and ensure it is stable before taking out a bolt from underneath that holds on to the lower end of an inlet manifold supporting arm. Unbolt both cables on the starter and their terminals at starter motor solenoid place respectively. Detach this nut then unscrew or unplug connections between the battery cable lead and starter solenoid as well as starter wire and solenoid respectfully. Remove bolts holding on starter motor so that you remove it completely from a car engine compartment.Disengage this motor gear box by loosening these two above screws and one below screw . Reassembly should be carried out in reverse order of disassembling.Done with installing for good, make sure that you tighten reliably all mounting bolts that hold on to a starting mechanism.Battery cable reconnection will occur after connecting this cable once again with negative terminal post of battery pack.V6 (SPORTAGE) MODELS, Disconnect your battery's cable from its negative terminal.Rise its front section up high enough and secure it better over some jackstands.Take away engine under cover or splash shield.Remove front exhaust tubes.Get rid of heat insulation sheet keeping off heat away from starting device.Disconnect wire harnessing alongside power supply line leading into plug socket mounted within a motor housing.Starter mounts are released when we finally take out their screws.Installation process reverses entire removal exercise wherefore care must be taken so as to firmly secure all fasteners such as those used during attachment of motors.Reunite negative termial connector provided with mentioned ends.
