    What are the steps for removing and installing the expansion valve on the front of the 2002 Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer

    First, locate the expansion valve and remove the fastener securing both line fittings to the valve. Remove the lines while discarding the seals, and quickly plug all openings to minimize contamination. Then, remove the mounting fasteners for the valve, and remove the valve itself while discarding any other seals. Again, plug all openings. Installation is the reverse of removal. Install new O-rings onto the line fittings and lightly coat them with the correct refrigerant oil. Only use O-rings designed specifically for A/C system applications. Finally, have the system evacuated, recharged, and leak-tested by the shop that discharged it.
