About Kia Sedona
Kia Sedona, also known as Kia Carnival, is a minivan manufactured by South Korean automaker Kia Motors since 1998. The first Kia Sedona was introduced in September 1998 marked globally under various nameplates. Up to today, it has been produced through three generations. What's more, Kia Sedona has received 2007 MotorWeek as "Best Minivan" award, 2007 drivers' Choice Awards and The Car Book's 2007 "Best Bet" honorary title.
The second generation Kia Sedona (2006-2014) was unveiled worldwide for model year 2006. And it debuted in the North American market at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show. It was offered in long wheelbase and short wheelbase configurations in Sedona (SWB), Sedona LX (LWB), and Sedona EX (LWB) trim levels. However, from 2007 to 2009, Kia Sedona's rebadged version Hyundai Entourage was available. It was then powered by engines ranging from 2.7 L V6 to 2.9 L inline 4-cyliner engine mated to 4-speed, 5-speed and 6-speed automatic transmissions and 5-speed manual transmission. Debuted at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the third generation Kia Sedona (2014-present) is more a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MVP) than minivan. It was available in LX, EX, L, SX, and Limited trim levels in United States. However, Kia Sedona now only gets power from a 3.3 L Lambda V6 engine and a 2.2 L inline 4-cylinder diesel engine. But these engines are fitted along with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
