How to remove and install the rear Axle Shaft on a 2006 Kia Sorento?

Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts and raise the rear of the vehicle, supporting it securely on jackstands placed under the frame, not under the axle. Block the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the stands, then remove the rear wheels. Position a floor jack under the rear axle differential housing. Disconnect the driveshaft from the rear axle pinion flange and fasten it out of the way with rope or wire, ensuring it does not hang unsupported. Disconnect the left and right ABS wheel speed sensors, then detach the brake hose from the junction block on the axle housing, plugging the hose and lines to prevent fluid leakage. Disconnect the parking brake cables from the brake assemblies and detach the vent hose from the axle housing. Disconnect the shock absorbers from the axle brackets, detach the stabilizer bar links, and remove the coil springs. Detach the lateral control rod, upper links, and trailing arm from the rear axle.
