- Q: How to remove and install the antenna for Kia Optima?A:For models from 2001 through 2006, to remove the antenna from its base, turn the hex at the bottom of the mast counterclockwise using a small wrench to unscrew it. Installation follows the reverse process of removal. For models from 2006.5 and later, these are equipped with a wire grid-type antenna attached to the rear window glass. If there is an issue, repair the antenna grid similarly to how one would repair the rear window defogger grid. Additionally, check the antenna connection at the rear of the audio unit before diagnosing any problems with the antenna itself.
