Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the engine undercover and unbolt the exhaust pipes from the exhaust manifolds to gain access to the starter. If equipped, remove the starter shield and detach the electrical connectors from the starter/solenoid assembly. Remove the starter motor mounting bolts from the transaxle side and take out the starter, which is retained by two bolts. Installation is the reverse of removal.
