- Q: How do you disconnect the radio and speakers in a Kia Sorento?A:To end the operation of the radio, the lead should be pulled out from the negative terminal of the battery. Next, remove the center trim panel by unscrewing the audio unit mounting screws; after doing this, physically remove the radio and then detach the electrical connectors; these include the lead to the antenna, and wiring harnesses. For the upper speakers, unscrew the panel on the inside of the mirror, disconnect the wires, and take out the speaker from the panel. To get to main door speaker, you need to remove the door trim panel, then unplug the electrical connector and use a screwdriver to undo the speaker mounting screws to end up with a removal of the spoke. As for the radio and speakers, removal is the operation which is vice versa to installation.
