One of the rear wheel lug nuts should be loosened in some fashion; the vehicle should then be raised by the jack and safely supported with jackstands in its rear before one rear wheel is removed. If necessary, remove the hangers of the exhaust system to obtain the necessary space and then remove the links connecting the maintainer bar to this bar. Loosen the bolts of the sway bar bushing retainers, thereby removing the sway bar kit from the vehicle; you should also remove the bushings noting their positions. Examine the bushings for signs of wear, hardness or softness, misshapen condition, cracking or any other outward sign of wear as well as use and check the sway bar links and see if ballstuds are loose or not. Scrub the places in the bar through which the bushings run with a wire brush then before installing the new bushings, apply vegetable oil and not any petroleum or mineral-base lubricant or brake fluid as it will introduce wear. The final process is the installation where the steps are taken in the reverse order to the removal process.
