Kia 213103C200 Pump Assembly-Oil

Clean all components with solvent and inspect for wear and damage. If any issues are suspected with the pump in 2006 and later models, replace it with a new one.

After detaching the oil pump, remove the pump cover fasteners, then take off the cover and pump rotors. Use a gasket scraper to eliminate all traces of sealant and old gasket material from the pump body and engine block, ensuring to clean the mating surfaces with brake cleaner while keeping the front of the oil pan covered to prevent debris from falling in.

Remove the balance shaft and oil pump module mounting bolts and lower the assembly from the ladder assembly. Note that the balance shaft and oil pump module cannot be repaired; if there is a problem, the assembly must be replaced as a unit.
