On the air filter housing is where you will find the Mass Air Flow sensor that was used on 1994 models as well as 1995 86 SOHC models. Firstly, to remove it, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor. For it to be done, carefully pull off the wire retainer from both ends of the connector by prying them away from its sides. This is followed by disconnecting the air intake duel from the resonance chamber and removing the resonance chamber itself from the air filter housing. Afterwards, loosen fasteners to detach the upper part of the air filter housing from the lower half. Lastly, four nuts that secure the MAF sensor to the air filter's upper half are removed before separating the two components. Nuts which keep the MAF sensor in place on the top part of the air filter housing are then detached and these two components separated. To conclude, the reversal of removal is just what you need in installing this device back in place again.

Remove the two bolts that secure the MAF sensor to the sensor support bracket.
