MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor is situated in the air inlet duct on vehicles having the production date of 2005 and earlier models. Models from year 2006 to 2010 used a MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor located near the outlet of the airtank, while all other models used a BARO/Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor at the same location. First of all, there should be a loose connection of the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Subsequently, one has to remove the electrical connection of the sensor as well. In the models produced up to 2005, there will be screws that should be unscrewed so that the sensor can be pulled out of the duct. For the model range between 2006 and 2010, it is required to unscrew the clamp and to disconnect the ducts from the sensor housing then, the two bolts are to be undone to remove the sensor from the air filter housing cover. For the models after 2011, you have to unscrew a bolt to release the sensor from the air filter housing outlet. Removal is done in a sequence that is opposite of installation.

The MAF/Intake Manifold Temperature sensor is located in the air inlet duct. Begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor. Then, loosen the hose clamps and remove the sensor. Installation is the reverse of removal.

To disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor, simply detach it from the sensor.
