1. Insert the upper end of the shock absorber into the bracket and install the nut and bolt, tightening to the specified torque. 2. Attach the lower end onto the stud, install the washer and nut finger-tight. 3. Secure the bracket nut and bolts to the specified torque. 4. Raise the lower control arm to simulate normal ride height and tighten the lower mounting nut to the specified torque. 5. Finally, install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.

Remove any cotter pins if equipped, then take off the nuts and bolts connecting the strut to the steering knuckle, ensuring not to overextend the inner CV joint or let the steering knuckle fall outward.
