For 2005 and earlier models, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the steering wheel and airbag clockspring, followed by the steering column covers. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the back side of the turn signal switch, remove the screws securing the switch to the steering column, and pull the switch off the steering column shaft. Installation is the reverse of removal. For 2006 and later models, begin by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the upper and lower steering column covers. Depress the headlight switch retaining tab while pulling the switch away from the steering column, ensuring to do this for both the headlight switch and the windshield wiper switch. Installation is the reverse of removal.
