To unbolt the outside mirrors, begin by unscrewing the mirror trim panel which you can do with a panel pop tool or a screwdriver taped to avoid scratching the surface. However, one must first unplug the electrical connection of the mirror, then take off the three bolts and finally pull away the mirror out of the car while supporting it in the car through the window slot. Installation is also a step by step process, though in reverse order. For the inside mirror, the first step is to remove the electrical connector if any is fitted. On some of the models, use a flat screwdriver covered with a thin layer of tape to pry between the mirror mount and the notch of the base of mirror stalk and freeing the hairpin type spring or unscrew the set screw located at the bottom of the mirror stalk. I f no set screw exists, if this spring was removed, reinstall the spring; place the mirror stalk's lug into the corresponding mount; push down while locked. If the mount plate has become delaminated from the windshield, attachment adhesive kits can be bought at any auto part store and care must be taken to follow the enclosed instructions.
