Remove the air intake duct and label and disconnect vacuum hoses from the throttle body. Disconnect electrical connectors from the Throttle Position sensor and Idle Air Control valve. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, detach the throttle valve cable. Disconnect the
Accelerator Cable from the throttle body, clamp off the coolant hoses, and remove the throttle body and gasket. Clean the throttle body with a brush and carburetor cleaner, then blow out passages with compressed air. On Spectra models, disconnect the PCV fresh air inlet hose and coolant hoses from the throttle body. On Sportage models, disconnect the EVAP canister purge control solenoid valve hose. Remove the old throttle body gasket. If reinstalling the old throttle body, clean the bore with carburetor cleaner. Check the coolant level and accelerator cable adjustment, start the engine and check for leaks.
