The other pan, or the lower one, has to be dropped first: unplug the car's negative terminal, lift the car using jack stands and finally, take off the engine splash guard. Remove the engine oil and continue to unscrew the lower pan mounting bolts and also try to loosen up the lower pan if it has stuck onto the block without causing any harm to the surfaces. Lift and pull out the lower baffle, then pull out the oil pump strainer/pickup through the opening at the lower oil pan Together with the lower oil pan Remove the fasteners at the upper oil pan and while holding the pan on place tap it lightly with a plastic hammer to release it. For installation, first remove dirt, grease, and debris from installation surface and the oil pump pick-up/strainer assembly, then apply the RTV sealant to the aluminum pan section and ensure the pan is installed within 5 mins. Place the pan over the block, use new bolts fasting them in the mentioned sequence, and let the sealant dry for at least two hours before applying new oil and a new filter. Last but not the least; start the engine to confirm the oil pressure and oil leakage.
