Start by removing the headlight housing to locate the bulb. Twist the bulb holder counterclockwise to remove it, then push the bulb into the holder and turn it counterclockwise to release it. Install the new bulb by pushing it in and turning it clockwise, then reinsert the holder and lock it in place.

Release the retaining spring and remove the old bulb by unhooking the spring-loaded wire.

Pry the lamp assembly from the door panel.

After unscrewing the cover, disconnect the wiring, then release the retaining spring and pull out the old bulb, which is held in place by a spring-loaded wire.

Halogen gas filled bulbs are under pressure and can shatter if the surface is scratched or the bulb is dropped. It is important to wear eye protection and handle the bulbs carefully by grasping only the base whenever possible. Additionally, avoid touching the surface of the bulb with fingers, as the oil from skin can cause overheating and premature failure. If contact occurs, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol.
