- A:On 2001 through 2006 four-cylinder engines, this sensor is attached to the rear of the upper intake manifold. On 2006.5 and later V6 engines, it is located at the rear of the engine; it's connected to the upper intake manifold by a vacuum hose. 2001 through 2006 V6 engines and 2006.5 and later fourcylinder engines do not use a MAP sensor. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the sensor, if equipped. Remove the mounting screw(s) and detach the sensor.
