    Q:
How to replace spark plugs in Kia Sedona? Posted by Customer
    A:
The spark plugs are always placed in the middle of the valve covers at all models. You will need a torque wrench, a spark plug socket, an extension, a ratchet and a metal wire gauge when replacing them. It is good to buy new spark plugs earlier on so as you can adjust their gap and replace them one after the other. Before removal give the engine time enough to cool off completely and check out for faults or spaces in them. The wire-type gauge should be used to verify this condition and ensure that it has been met. Protect the paint by covering with fender, remove upper intake manifold in case of 2006 model year before reaching the back ignition coils. As for 2005 and earlier models, untwist each spark pluck wire first then followed by pulling out related ignition coil: Inspect both surfaces of the washer and remove any debris from around it; take care not to drop anything into the cylinder while cleaning; use compressed air to blow out any loose particles around there before removing; place your socket over plug, unscrew it counter clockwise and compare your removed plugs with this particular chart to assess how your engine is functioning accordingly.Run your finger over bar threads after tightening down nut: This way you wont end up breaking anything because they might get stuck inside aluminum cylinder heads. Use rubber hose piece when installing plugs with avoid cross-threading once it had aligned in place; securely tighten these screws using torque specifications indicated below- do not exceed those limits mentioned either! Last but not least, reinstall ignition coil packs/plug wires onto rest of holes following same guidelines we used.

    Q:
How can cross-threading of the spark plug be avoided for the 2010 Kia Sorento? Posted by Customer
    A:
To avoid cross-threading, fit a short piece of rubber hose over the end of the spark plug. The flexible hose acts as a universal joint to help align the plug with the spark plug hole. If the plug begins to cross-thread, the hose will slip on the spark plug, preventing thread damage.
