To take out the TR sensor which is placed on the top of the transaxle alongside the shift cable,first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, and the fresh air intake hose from the air filter housing. Subsequently, the battery and the battery tray need to be unbolted, so the electrical connector from the TR sensor must be disconnected. Decorate the nut that fixes the cable of the shift control with the control shaft lever and disconnect it. After that, unscrew the nut and washer by which the control shaft lever is attached to the manual valve shaft and after this, take off the control shaft lever. Last but not the least, it is required to Unscrew the mounting bolts and pull out the TR sensor. To install the sensor, slip it over the shaft of the manual valve and tighten the mounting bolts but not to the point of torque. Screw the lever onto the shaft of the manual valve by hand and tighten it with the nut, rotate it in the gears until the lever will not stop at Park position and turn it clockwise for two notches to go to Neutral position. Attach the cable to the extended shaft of the manual valve and screw in the nut onto the cable threads but do not tighten it at this time. Insert the holes of the manual lever and the sensor considering the deviation using a drill for orientations and fasten the mounting screws of the sensor firmly without any displacement. Complete the process by performing the removal process in the opposite order, engage the cable nut and verify that the transmission and indicator functions properly, will turn over the engine only on Park and Neutral positions and the back-up lights turn on when shifter is on Reverse.
