Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the engine cover, if applicable, then disconnect the electrical connector and vacuum hoses from the purge valve. Remove the purge valve mounting fasteners and take out the purge valve, with installation being the reverse of removal. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, then remove the protective cover from the EVAP canister assembly, if equipped. The two-way valve is located in the line between the fuel tank and the canister; disconnect the EVAP hoses from it, ensuring correct installation direction indicated by the arrow on the valve. The EVAP canister is mounted to the frame rail near the fuel tank; disconnect the hoses and wiring from the canister closed valve, then remove the EVAP canister mounting bracket bolts to take out the canister and bracket as a single assembly, with installation being the reverse of removal. The vapor pressure sensor is mounted to the rear end of the fuel tank in the line connecting the fuel tank and the canister; disconnect the wiring harness and fuel hoses, then remove the sensor along with its mounting bracket, which can be detached from the sensor after it is out of the vehicle, with installation being the reverse of removal. Finally, disconnect the wiring connector from the canister closed valve and remove the valve from the canister, with installation being the reverse of removal.
