The PCV valve and hose are located at the back of the left valve cover on 2006 and earlier 3.5L V6 engines; to reach it, one needs to take off the upper intake manifold. For 2007 through 2009 3.3L and 3.8L engines, this is found under the upper intake manifold in the front section of the engine. On four-cylinder engines, it's at right front angle of the valves covering. For 2011 and later models, specifically those with a 3.5 liter V-6, are different because their PCV is on top of rear end valve cover from whence other parts can be obtained.Separate hose tube by unscrewing it from PCV valve itself.Inside that entrance, you will come across a plunger which lies crucially inside. Some times by pressing on toothpick and feeling for plunger movement as well as slight spring back you can determine whether your pcv valve is okay or damaged in case no further action was taken. It may be serviced with carb cleaner to free up its sticking plunger.Carburetor cleaning fluid may also help unstick its plunger without disassembling it.When purchasing a replacement PCV valve, make sure it's for your particular vehicle and engine size. The old one should match with its newer version.Installation is opposite to removal.
