To remove exterior light bulbs, start with the front park and turn signal bulbs by removing the headlight housing, rotating the bulb socket counterclockwise, and taking out the bulb from the socket before installing a new one. For front fog light bulbs, raise the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, rotate the bulb socket counterclockwise, and replace the bulb and socket as a unit. For the center high-mounted brake light bulb on 2005 and earlier models, open the lift gate, pry off the cover, rotate and remove the bulb holder, and replace the bulb. On 2006 and later models, open the lift gate, remove the housing screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and replace the entire assembly. For taillight bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the retaining screws, pull the assembly away from the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, and for 2005 and earlier models, disconnect the electrical connectors from the sockets, remove the housing, and replace the bulbs. For license plate light bulbs, open the liftgate, remove the lens cover screw, and for 2005 and earlier models, turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it, then pull the bulb from the socket. Interior lights include instrument cluster illumination bulbs, which are not separately serviceable; courtesy lights, which require prying off the lens and disconnecting the electrical connector; dome/cargo lights, where the lens is pried off to access the bulb; liftgate lights, which involve prying off the lens to remove the bulb; overhead console reading lights, where the lens cover is pried off to access the bulb; and vanity lights, which also require lens cover removal to replace the bulb. Installation for all bulbs is the reverse of removal.
