How to Remove the High Pressure Fuel Pump from the Cylinder Head on Kia Sorento? Posted by Sylvester G.
    A:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the air filler housing. Unplug the fuel pressure regulator valve electrical connector and remove the ignition coil from cylinder four. Detach the canister purge control solenoid valve and fuel supply line quick disconnect fitting. Remove the nut from the high-pressure fuel pump and delivery pipe using special tool #09314-3Q100. Take off the junction block and high-pressure fuel pipe. Unscrew the fuel pump mounting bolts and remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Rotate the engine until the lifter for the pump is at the lowest point. Apply oil to the pump o-ring, set the pump on the cylinder head, and tighten the new bolts.
