    To replace the exhaust oil control valves, follow these steps: 1. Disconnect the electrical connectors. 2. Remove the valve covers. 3. Take out the three valve mounting bolts. 4. Remove the valve from the cylinder head, replacing the O-rings if reusing the CVVT valves. 5. Installation is the reverse of removal, with O-rings coated in clean engine oil and mounting bolts tightened to the specified torque.

    For the exhaust camshaft CVVT valves, disconnect the CWT valve connector from the top of the valve cover, remove the valve cover, take out the CWT valve mounting bolts, and remove the valve(s) from the front camshaft cap, with installation being the reverse of removal.
