Kia Optima Grille provides the sedan with its trademark face and blows cool air to the radiator and engine to prevent overheating. Over the years, there have been two primary Grille themes on the Optima models, including a slender black mesh that conveys the idea of sportiness and a bolder chrome-outlined tiger nose Grille that adds upscale flavor. The two are at the front of all Kia openings, allowing ram air to pass through slats or mesh and out of the rear, providing an easy route and also preventing stones and bugs. - Q: How do you remove the grille for Kia Optima?A:For 2001 through 2006 models, begin by opening the Hood, then remove the grille fasteners, noting that the number and location may vary with year and model, and take off the grille. For 2006.5 and later models, remove the front Bumper cover, then take out the grille fasteners and detach the grille from the bumper cover. Installation for both sets of models is the reverse of removal.
