Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, blocking the front wheels to prevent rolling, and place the transaxle in Neutral with the parking brake off before removing the spare wheel. Drain the differential lubricant, then mark the relationship of the driveshaft to the pinion flange and unbolt the driveshaft from the flange, suspending it with a piece of wire to avoid letting it hang by the center support bearing. Remove the driveaxles, support the differential with a floor jack, and remove the mounting fasteners before slowly lowering the jack. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque values and filling the differential with the proper lubricant.
